I am a student at Old Dominion University who is in the midst of learning to become a school librarian. I am an animal lover, birthday and Halloween enthusiast, chronic online window shopper, and lifetime adventurer. My happy place is in the Outer Banks, where I lived for 5 summers and figured out how to maintain a perpetual sense of summer. Unlike most of my fellow library students, I have never been a classroom teacher. My love for information and media literacy work stems from undergraduate work in media production with middle school girls, followed by my graduate studies that dealt primarily with masculinity, friendship, and the media. I am by all means a production amateur, but am passionate about creating nonetheless. I believe that producing and consuming media which share personal narratives can change the world, and I hope that you do too!
Most days you can find me running around the Hampton Roads area, hiding behind a hat and book near the water, or walking on a trail with my doghter Rue. If you can’t track me down, I am never too far from my email.
